Eng. Amare Assefa
General Manager
Amare Assefa holds, B.Sc and M.sc. degree In Electrical Power Engineering from Addis Ababa University.
He has extensive experience in the design and supervision of electrical works and has been actively involved in numerous renewable energy projects, particularly those focused on water supply and alternative power solutions. He is also a member of the Ethiopian Electrical Engineers Society, where he previously served as President.
Mr. Mollalign Abebe
Deputy General Manager
Holding LLB and LLM degrees in Business Law from Addis Ababa University, Mr. Mollalign Abebe brings over 30 years of legal experience across justice, governmental, corporate, and energy sectors. With 14+ years in Ethiopia’s energy regulatory sector and 10+ years as a licensed energy consultant (except engineering), he has played a key role in shaping national energy legislation, including Energy Proclamation No. 810/2013 and Energy Regulation No. 447/2019.
He has also contributed as a negotiation team member for cross-border Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Djibouti and Sudan, and provides expert advisory services on renewable energy legal and regulatory frameworks at both federal and regional levels.
His extensive expertise spans litigation, arbitration, advisory, and defense—with specialization in contract, family, labor, tax, tort, and criminal law. He also serves as a trainer and legal advisor to corporate executives on compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
